The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys 2023 Defence Jersey pays tribute to the rich Australian Defence Force history entrenched throughout North Queensland. The jersey, to be worn during the NRL’s ANZAC Round 8, spotlights the silhouette of a solo Bugler playing The Last Post in front of a Wattle Tree. The striking yellow on the jersey references the Wattle Tree’s flowers, which holds great significance in the war, as cuttings of it would often be sent to soldiers as a reminder of home. The back of the garment emulates a burial ground of soldiers, representing an important piece of our community’s history. This garment features Dynasty Sport’s new cutting-edge Ecotek fabric, which is made from ethically sourced recycled plastic bottles.
