Inspired by Bob Paisley’s legacy, this football shirt for Liverpool contains his signature within the neck of the jersey. This season’s top also sees the white pin stripe re-introduced which were seen on the 82/83 shirt when he retired.
On the ends of the sleeves there are white printed panels and the Western Union sponsorship is adorned to the left arm in gold. In the centre of the chest the Standard Chartered sponsorship is placed in white. And above this is the Liverpool crest and New Balance motif which have both been woven in gold. To the rear of the neck the 96 Eternal Flames are also displayed in gold.
Infused into the polyester base of the shirt, New Balance has used their moisture wicking technology to replicate the feel of the player tops. This tech helps to remove sweat from the skin by providing it with a route to escape via ventilation channels, and once on the outer layer of the garment the liquid can evaporate more efficiently.
